Chorus: The sea is blue.
The sea is green.
It's filled with treasures
Like you've never seen.
I'm the captain
Of the good ship Eagle.
She's carried me through adventures
Legal and illegal.
The waves are high.
The sails are full.
And we just entered
The Bermuda Triangle.
Chorus
Now we are lost.
We don't know where
That mossy ship
Came from over there.
The creaking sounds,
The rotten wood,
The torn sails,
This don't look good.
Chorus
The wind is gone.
It's the end of May.
We've been here
Two months to the day.
The crew is mad
And they're starving.
They are very angry
At the captain.
Chorus
We are lost
And we might die.
We will never have
Another slice of pie.
The biggest treasure
Is our homeland.
How we hope
We get to see it again.
I really like that. Have you read Treasure Island before? It's a really good book.

ReplyDeleteI think this song is funny. It is very reminiscent of Davy Jones, with the sunken ships and whatnot. I really like the chorus. It seems very alluring and mysterious.
ReplyDeleteJonathan, Nice rhyming. Did you have to use a rhyming dictionary? I usually have to open one up.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite verse is the first one.
I'm the captain
Of the good ship Eagle.
She's carried me through adventures
Legal and illegal.
