It was a nice day off the coast of Ireland. The first day of whale hunting had come. The Gazelle sailed the Irish waters.
“There's a whale ahead” shouted Captain Mell.
“Get to your stations, men,” shouted first mate Coult. Everyone ran to their stations. People were lowering long boats, grabbing harpoon after harpoon. When they were all ready, they got into the long boat and started after the pod of whales.
As they chased the whale pod, they spotted a wrecked ship. The crew saw a wooden chest on the wrecked ship. On top of the chest was a hand, a rotten white fleshy hand. The hand belonged to the protector of the chest who was under water.
“Oi! You two sailors, get down there and find out who is hanging on to the chest and take the treasure aboard,” called out Captain Mell.
The sailors answered, “ But sir, the water is cold.”
“That's an order!” shouts the Captain.
“Aye, aye,” say the sailors. Two men leapt into the water and swam to the wrecked ship. When they reached the chest, they pulled up on the hand. They could not believe their eyes, for there was Captain Red Beard, the most dangerous pirate ever. And he was as dead as his peg leg. They all gasped in horror, "If it has killed him, it might kill us." The two sailors grabbed the treasure and got ready to call for the long boat.
Just then a slimy tentacle grabbed the sailor and plunged him into the sea. Bubbles were leaking to the surface. Two more tentacles came out of the sea. They ripped the guy in half and tried to steal the chest of gold. Just in time, the captain grabbed a harpoon. He shot it though the tentacle and stuck it to a board. Then the tentacle dropped the chest and writhed around. Out of the blue sea burst hundreds of tentacles. They attacked the ship and its crew. They grabbed people like crazy and dragged them into the sea.
The captain hung on to the steering wheel. The captain tried to steer the ship, but the kraken was too powerful.
Crew members were running around with harpoons. They were trying to take the tentacles down. Mar McKonk was hanging from the rigging. As he aimed his harpoon, a tentacle wrapped around his face and pulled him into the water. As he was getting dragged towards the terrifying mouth of the kraken, he dropped the harpoon. The kraken ate him and burped out his toupee.
The sea boiled with tentacles.
The kraken fell away and sailors cheered. Then the Flying Dutch Man burst out of the sea and started firing it's cannons at them. “Get us out of this graveyard,” grumbled the Captain. As the Gazelle sailed for their Irish lives, Davey Jones was making more plans for guests.
“They say that the Queen was lost in the Irish seas. Oi! we found the ship,” shouted Rambler in the crow's nest. The sea began to boil and and then out of the sea came many mysterious ships. They started to fire their canons at the Gazelle. More ships started to rise up out of the sea until they were surrounded. Smoke filled the air.
Out of fog came a ship with a broken mast and splinters of wood. Everyone's blood ran cold. When the ship got closer, dead bodies appeared.
“That's the Queen of England's ship,” shouted Hekter. “The Queen's ship hasn't been seen for over 20
years.”
When they turned around, the wrecked ships blocked their way. When they looked again, there was nothing. It was like the ships were never there. "I wonder where the ships went," asked one of the sailors. but they were right under them and so was Davey Jones.
"Fire the the triple barreled cannons," shouted Davey Jones to his crews and ships that were under water. When the canons fired, the only thing that was left was shattered wood and broken bodies.
Jonathan, this is a scary story. I like the way you use dialogue, too. It moves the story along and makes me excited along with the crew.
